Why do I need men's thermals?

When you are adventuring in cold climates, you need proper protection from the elements. Thermals give you an extra shield against cold, wind, snow and ice, by adding an additional layer that provides warmth and comfort no matter what the conditions outside. They also help wick moisture away from your skin, so you don't feel damp during activity.

Do men's thermals come in many styles?

The men's thermals range at Mountain Designs comes in three performance fabrics - Merino, Merino Blend and Polypro. Each fabrication features both thermal tops and thermal pants, in a variety of colours and sizes ranging from Extra Small through to 3XL. Whichever style you select, a close fit delivers best results.

What are the best men's thermals?

Our 100% Australian Merino thermals are top of the range, providing superior performance. Made from natural and renewable Merino wool, they have the ability to efficiently regulate body heat through the natural crimp of the Merino fibre, which traps warm air next to the skin keeping you comfortable in cold conditions. They are moisture wicking, highly breathable and quick drying. Merino is also static free, retains its shape due to the natural elasticity of its fibres, and resists odour and bacterial build up to keep you feeling fresh. Mountain Designs also offers Merino Blend thermals, which has the additional benefit of increased strength properties such as burst strength, stretch and abrasion resistance.

Which men's thermals are moisture wicking?

An important feature of high quality thermals is that they wick moisture away from the skin, helping to keep you comfortable during active pursuits. All of the men's thermals in the Mountain Designs range are moisture wicking so hit the trails or set up the campsite knowing that you won't have that damp feel once you get active.

When should I be wearing men's thermals?

You can wear men's thermals any time you are venturing out in cold climates and need to keep your core body temperature regulated. They are designed to be worn as a first layer during any cold weather activity, from everyday use to alpine adventures. They can also be worn as sleepwear.

Are men's thermals important for camping?

Let's face it, squeezing back into your car with the air con set to 'hot' isn't exactly a great camping tale to tell your family and friends later on. So if you're likely to encounter cold, wind, rain or even snow on your camping adventures, it is a great idea to have thermals on your gear list. Mountain Designs men's thermals are designed to keep you warm during any cold weather activity, camping included.

What are the benefits to wearing men's thermals?
