The Women’s Adventure Film Tour, presented by Mountain Designs, returns in 2026 for its 10^th anniversary, bringing a brand-new collection of inspiring films to cinemas and community venues across Australia and New Zealand this September.

Celebrating a decade of powerful storytelling, the Women’s Adventure Film Tour continues to showcase remarkable women as they explore the world around them through stories of courage, resilience, connection, and personal challenge.

The tour will screen nationwide throughout September and early October 2026, with screenings taking place in cinemas, theatres, and community venues across Australia and New Zealand.

What Is WAFT?

Every year, the team at Adventure Entertainment carefully chooses a selection of unique films showing awesome women achieving their personally adventurous goals. More than just an adventure film event, the tour is a celebration of community and the many ways people step outside their comfort zones. From local trails to remote summits, the 2026 program highlights real journeys by women from a wide range of backgrounds, cultures, and sports, offering audiences an inspiring and emotional night on the big screen.

Curated for audiences of all ages, the Women’s Adventure Film Tour goes beyond the extreme to explore something deeper. The human spirit behind adventure. Some stories are quiet. Some are full of grit. All are grounded in authenticity and the power of personal growth. These are screened right across Australia, giving you the Women’s Adventure Film Tour!  

When Did It Start?

The WAFT was launched to a sell-out crowd in Sydney in May 2017. It has since grown to become a success throughout the world with screenings annually across Australia, New Zealand, the United States of America, Canada, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Italy, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, India and more.

Who Runs The Tour?

The tour is operated by the team at Adventure Entertainment, who specialise in the distribution of high quality outdoor adventure films. Founded here in Australia in 2017, they now operate across Australia, New Zealand, the Americas, United Kingdom, Western Europe and parts of Asia. They run a series of annual film tours such as Mountainfilm on Tour (Australia and New Zealand), European Outdoor Film Tour (Australia and New Zealand), REEL ROCK, Warren Miller, One Ocean and more.
