Our Heritage Acid tee pays tribute to the origins of Mountain Designs, featuring the company’s original Acid logo that adorned products through the late 1970s and early 80s. The psychedelic artwork was inspired by the first-ever Australian expedition to the Patagonian region of Argentina in 1974, when company founder Rick White and climbing partner Robert ‘Squeak’ Staszewski were so awestruck by ‘the exceptional natural beauty sculptured into the rugged ice and granite surrounds’ that they envisaged crafting outdoor gear worthy of such an exotic destination. The tee itself is ethically made from 100% organic cotton under the Global Organic Textile Standard, and is manufactured using sustainable energy making it climate neutral. Exceptionally soft on the skin and sensitive to those with allergies, it is also Fair Wear Foundation approved in which a portion of the price goes back to the garment workers towards their living wage.
